Tails and Trails Dog Walk: Fallbrook's Original Dog Walk, Plans Gearing Up for Dog Walk

The Fallbrook Land Conservancy is gearing up for its annual "Tails and Trails Dog Walk: Fallbrook's Original Dog Walk" taking place March 15 at Los Jilgueros Preserve on South Mission Road.

The preserve is south of the village across from Fallbrook Airpark and north of Fallbrook High School. Follow the signs to the event. Registration is at 9 a.m. and the walk begins at 10 a.m. The walk benefits the Fallbrook Land Conservancy and Critter Crossings dog rescue work.

Pledge levels and prizes (while supplies last) include:

 
  • Dalmatian level: $75, doggie gift bag, T-shirt, framed photo with owner and pet and three drawing tickets. Beagle level: $30, doggie gift bag, T-shirt and one drawing ticket.
  • Great Dane level: $150, supply of Advantage or Frontline, doggie gift bag, framed photo of owner and pet, T-shirt and five drawing tickets.

    There also will be several canine contests including: ugliest cute dog, best trick, smallest dog, biggest dog, smallest female senior dog, handsomest male senior dog and owner-dog look-alike. Entry for canine contests is $3 per event. For information, call (760) 519-2302.

    There also will be a chance to win prize baskets, which include entertainment and restaurant certificates and dog-related prizes.
